A Villa holiday is a new concept to India -rather than stay in a hotel with limited personal space, lack of privacy, other guests, shared facilities, crowded restaurants and high costs - you rent your dream property exclusively for you and your family or friends. Do what you want, when you want AND don’t forfeit any of the luxuries you expect on holiday.
Many of our guests travel extensively for business spending a great part of their lives in sterile impersonal hotel rooms so more of the same just isn't their idea of a special vacation.
Taking a villa vacation means you can relax in your own private home. You will have the freedom to choose whether you eat out in one of the many restaurants for which Goa is famous or eat a casual dinner at home, enjoy a movie and then just chill out.
A villa offers you, your family and friends more space, more comfort, more informality, more privacy, and more personalized service than any hotel. The whole villa is there exclusively for you, and you don't have to share anything with other tourists.
Renting a villa through Lazydays in Goa is amazing value. When calculated on a per bedroom or per person basis and considering all the "extras" you'd have to pay for in a hotel, a villa vacation is much more affordable than staying at one of the better hotels or resorts. Expenses for drinks, snacks and laundry etc. are very low, while in a hotel they can easily double or triple your spending money. With several families or couples traveling together, even the most luxurious villas can be a more economical option than hotels as there is only the villa rental rate to divide between the group.
What are the villas like?
Our properties range from traditional houses in sleepy coastal villages to highly individual villas each with their own charm and appeal. Our emphasis is on quality accommodation. The number of properties in our portfolio is limited as few villas in Goa meet our high standards and each has been carefully selected.
Some are suitable for that romantic getaway; or a family reunion, others perfect for corporate entertainment. Some have a swimming pool, others are right on the beach and the rest are no more than 10 minutes away. Some are traditional, antique filled, cottages, others are newly built. Some have a charming simplicity and local style, others are 5 star luxury. All are set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by an abundance of tropical plants and flowers minutes away from restaurants and shops. So whether you’re looking for the peace and relaxation of a villa that’s off the beaten track, contemporary chic for that barefoot experience or stunningly beautiful houses in riverside settings, you will find it here.
How comfortable are they?
We only feature properties that are furnished and equipped to a high standard. All properties are well maintained and comfortably furnished. We have added those little extras that make your stay as comfortable as possible with sprung mattresses, soft pillows and duvet quilts and garden furniture for lazy afternoons in the sun. Air-conditioning is standard in all bedrooms (except in two properties that have ceiling fans as they are naturally cooled by sea and hill breezes).
As all our properties are self-catering, kitchens are well equipped with a minimum 2 ring gas burner and full size refrigerator and all the normal cooking utensils as well as the right number of glasses, crockery and cutlery. Of course there are modern styled bathrooms and hot water showers.
What kind of service can I expect?
Lazydays staff are local Goans with the exception of the Directors, who are English, and have a very 'hands on' approach to running the company. It is difficult to find a Goan who is not friendly, helpful and cheerful and our staff are no exception. All have been picked for their sunny disposition, honesty and reliability.
On arrival you'll be met by one of our drivers and transferred by taxi to your villa. A member of the Lazydays’ team will welcome you. There is a house guide which also gives information on how to get the best out of your holiday. We provide a complimentary refreshment pack and a starter pack of basic household items
Our roving house managers each have their own property to look after and will prepare your accommodation for your arrival. They ensure the smooth running of the property and that your stay is as comfortable as possible. All the routine chores such as washing dishes, cleaning the premises, maintaining the garden (and pool), changing bed linen and towels, handling light laundry, will be taken care of and where a cook is provided - shopping for groceries too.
